Skull and Bones, the open-world pirate game developed by Ubisoft, will soon enter its open beta phase. From February 8 to 11, players will be able to set sail and face other pirates, merchant ships or military forces in various regions around the globe.
A RICH AND STRATEGIC WORLD
The Skull and Bones open beta reveals the richness of the game world and its strategic diversity. Players will be able to explore areas like the Red Isle and the East Indies, where they will have to deal with changing weather conditions, sea currents, coral reefs or underwater volcanoes. They will also be able to choose their faction from the four available: the Outcasts, the Raiders, the Merchants or the Royal Navy. Each faction offers advantages and disadvantages, as well as specific quests and challenges.
CUSTOMIZABLE AND COOPERATIVE GAMEPLAY
The Skull and Bones Open Beta also allows players to customize their ship and crew. They will be able to choose from several classes of ships, such as the brigantine, frigate or galleon, and equip them with weapons, sails, figureheads or colors. They will also be able to recruit crew members with varied skills, such as carpenter, gunner or surgeon. Finally, they will be able to cooperate with other players to form fleets and help each other in battles or sharing loot.
A GAME WITHOUT NDA AND WITH BONUSES
The Skull and Bones Open Beta is not under NDA. This means that players can broadcast their gaming sessions on streaming platforms. Additionally, by watching streams from their favorite streamers, they will be able to unlock a pet for their ship: the snow leopard. The open beta also offers other bonuses, like exclusive skins, emotes or gold coins.
The Skull and Bones open beta is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. To participate, simply register on the game's official website or pre-order the game.
Skull and Bones is scheduled to be released at the end of 2024.
