Stellar Blade - LOVE IT! (Rapid Review!)

Stellar Blade is a game made by the same developer who made Nikke: The Goddess of Victory Shift Up Studio.

My first impressions of this game were “Well, this will be another Nier: Automata and i’m always down for that”, but this game definitely gave me more than I thought it would which made it unique in its own way.

General Game View

Stellar Blade’s protagonist is EVE a badass “Android” of the Airborne squad that is tasked with saving mankind (you can see the resemblance to 2B & Nier in general almost instantly while playing the story).

The gameplay is very smooth and engaging, playing as EVE and fighting Monsters “Naytibas” while constantly developing her abilities and skills to become stronger, it is so satisfying and responsive as well.

The game has multiple skill trees to offer EVE a expansive skill set to fight the deadly Naytibas, there are a total of 5 skill trees each different in what it offers like (Attack skills, Survival skills, Beta skills… etc) you unlock 2 more as you progress the story so I won’t spoil what they are here.

Companions & Friends!

EVE has a couple of companions that assist her on her journey and this one is called Lily “The Engineer” , she makes repairs & upgrades to help EVE accomplish her missions and she is the nicest person ever! (Don’t get her mad tho).

Adam is the man who rescued EVE when they first met! And he is a scavenger who’s basically EVE’s ride from one place to another, he also has access to i formation and connections in Xion to assist EVE in her journey.

Extra information

The game also has a bunch of collectables you can find around the world, most of these enhance the story and depth of the world itself as well as give context to some of its characters that you meet as you play and progress.

Another (More Rewarding) type of collectables are the “CANS”, you find these all over the game’s world in different areas and collecting them will give you different rewards to unlock, there is a tot of 49 cans to find and collect.

Training

The game also has a training mode like the ones u’d see in Devil May Cry 5, here you can practice your moves and try out new skills as well as practice dodging and parrying attacks! It is a great addition to the game.

The Music

I’ll just cone out and say it, this game has an amazing sound track! This music and the atmosphere it creates is beyond incredible it is soothing and relaxing yet in the heat if the moment it is engaging and energetic, i very much enjoy it and it reminds me of the Nier: Automata sounds track in so many ways (that is a plus+).

The World/ Map

The world of Stellar Blade is vast and beautiful, it is divided into multiple areas you can explore and visit at your own time and speed most of the time.

Xion is the hub city and more of a safe haven, it is where you will get most if your “side quests” from different kinda of people, it also has other qualities that you will discover along the way.

Overall Opinion & View

Stellar Blade is an amazing and beautiful game, the visuals, Sounds, mechanics and story all were very much great to me and not to mention the beauty and design of the main protagonist and the attention to details and amounts of outfits she has been given, just magnificent.

I would definitely recommend this game to all those with a PS5 and hope it is ported to PC as soon as possible so everyone else can enjoy it! I give it a 9/10 ⭐️.
