Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King stays true to the series
2K View2023-12-03My only concern is that I felt unrewarded for my many hours and days of playing only to get what felt like scraps, whereas other Gacha games either overwhelm you with rewards making it feel boring or give you a decent amount that doesn't feel excessive or underwhelming, making you want to return to the game over and over.
This wasn't always the case; prior to the global release, there was less grinding for a lot of material, and it seemed much smoother than it does now. I understand that many games like this require grind to keep people playing, but this type of grind combined with no meaningful reward for that grind just doesn't work out.
I'd want to see some improvements to make it feel more fulfilling to play for 4 hours a day and be rewarded, rather than play for a week and earn a few pulls and currency to buy additional pulls while simultaneously foregoing valuable upgrades, if you're attempting to play the game entirely for free.

I don't play many gacha but I understand that many barely have gameplay and suck.
Compared to other gacha it's probably at least a 4/5. It has fewer shorter fully-animated cutscenes than I thought..... like Magna says "Let's do the thing where you reflect my fireballs at him but...... then it's not shown and we skip straight to asta sword used on the enemy.
The minor bits of character development and bits of foreshadowing are skipped here and there. Everything in the game is designed to get you to return to the gacha and shop screens more and more and remind you to use free rewards that you can spend (which reminds you of paid content again), everything is designed to get you to spend money overall.

Yes! As long as you enjoy anime stories and don’t mind the gacha gameplay loop, Black Clover M is a great choice. Another Anime IP Gacha Cash Grab...
My review is gonna be simple. Apart from the mediocre story that is black clover. It's an anime IP gacha game. You can tell even if it feels polished there will be cash grabs and insane amounts of power creeping with units.
A lot of clover fans will get sentimental and hate on me for dissing their Naruto wannabe shounen, but this isn't about the story it's about the gacha game. Give it 3 years at best till it hits EoS. Played through tutorial and you can tell already that this is gonna be a chore like 7DS. Don't even wanna bother reviewing it like I usually do...
