Pokemon Unite, a cross between the well-known MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre and the popular Pokemon franchise created by TiMi Studio Group. Pokemon fans were hyped up at first but now the game seems to be losing its players raising concerns about its future existence.
Long queue, too many bots, bad mechanics, poor competitive play. These are some of the reasons players started avoiding this MOBA game.
Due to the small number of users in the game, playing a ranked game is practically impossible on higher levels. You can spend dozens of minutes searching for players to play with without necessarily being ranked high.Even if you do find a match relatively fast, it would have serious connection problems.
Almost all matches are held with 200 or 300 connections, in some cases with pings over 400.Playing under these conditions is extremely unpleasant and frustrating which gives the worst gaming experience.
In searching for a game, players are met by a few others leading to long waits before one starts or sometimes filling with AI bots during matches. Which make player to get kill easier and climb the rank ladder faster because it has no competitive pressure.
It reduced competitive seriousness which brought down the number of esports events. That’s how the esports scene of the game started to decline.
On the other hand, the game is not particularly appealing in terms of design and mechanics. It fails to outdo its bigger rivals in the MOBA genre. Moreover, the 10-minute gameplay of Pokémon Unite lack relevance for regular MOBA fans who love playing long matches.
Furthermore, Pokemon fans are used to relaxed playing style which doesn’t fit with this genre and not fan of MOBA.
On the surface we can consider it to be a dying game, unless it sees to comeback through the updates.

I'm playing in NA, and I'm in Masters, and the queue times aren't really long for me. They last at max 30 seconds, and the connection is decent, so I don't really think the game is dead, for now.
