This might be the darkest visual novel we've ever seen

This might be the darkest visual novel we've ever seen

Everyone knows how fairy tales are supposed to go: The princess is kidnapped and locked away in a dungeon, and a brave hero comes along to save her and defeat whatever great evil was keeping her captive. Except what if it wasn't that simple? What if it was the princess herself that was the great evil?
That's the question being asked by Slay the Princess, the upcoming visual novel from developer Black Tabby Games. In this game, you play as the brave hero, of course, but as the title suggests, you've actually been sent to kill the princess in order to prevent the end of the world. But can you really go through with it, even as the princess tries to convince you otherwise?

The story sounds great and the branching paths sound even better, but maybe the best thing about Slay the Princess is its lovely sketchbook art style. Every frame of the game was hand-penciled by award-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard, one of the cofounders of Black Tabby Games. If screenshots and the trailer above are anything to go off of, that attention to detail is going to pay off with some unforgettably grim artwork.
So how far are you willing to go to prevent the end of the world? Slay the Princess launches on PC on October 20, 2023. We'll be jumping in for ourselves to see just how messed up this scenario gets, so watch for a quick review from a TapTap editor soon.

Would you kill a princess to save the world? Slay the Princess is game about impossible choices
SHOULD I PLAY SLAY THE PRINCESS? If you have even a passing interest in choice-based games, Slay the Princess is a must-play. When the game begins, you’re on a path towards a cabin hidden deep in the woods. When you reach that cabin, you’ll find a princess, and when you meet her, a mysterious voice tells you that she’s destined to end the world. Will you slay her, or will you save her? It’s a simple enough question, but somehow, the game stretches it to endless possibilities. What happens if you start to save her, but change your mind? What if you don’t go to the cabin at all?

This has the most rocking amazing gameplay I have ever played
This game has me stunned. At first, I thought this would be an idle battle game where you would just watch the character just walk around idly swinging around with his sword, but we get to get him to move around, and time our skills to kill the enemies. That's something I wouldn't expect, really. This game is fun and I would love to keep going to see the princess get what she desires. LOL.

There are too many questionable topics in this game
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (Reviewed) Developer: Deconstructeam Publisher: Devolver Digital Released: Aug 16th, 2023 Price: $16 USD The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a deck-building interactive novel in which you play in the shoes of Fortuna, a witch exiled because of her power to influence the destiny of everyone she reads their Tarot fortune to, due to the fear of her leader. The game looks great on the surface, but as you advance through and pay more attention to the dialog, it becomes less so. It becomes... excessively questionable.
