HOOOOLLYYYYY SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET, LETS FREAKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo....
OK now as for a review...
I actually started to believe that Rockstar won't be the same, no more masterpieces and pretty much more and more lazy content for easy money, I personally think a huge majority of it is be cause of Take Two ( *spitting on the ground* )
I highly recommend you guys to watch Charlie's review of the trailer, and Radal... definitely watch RADAL's.
Speaking of the trailer, as Charlie said in his recent video, the graphics and the content in the trailer is very likely to be close to the actual game when it fully releases and that is because of the engine they use, but I still want to wait and see.
I have high hopes for this game. Pretty much high hopes and hype for Rockstar after RDR2.
I just hope they were not forced to make this, either by fans or Take Two, cause that would make the story and the gameplay and any other element in the game, rushed and unbearable.
I left a novel for yall in this "Extra note" down below, it's not really necessary to read it but I would appreciate it, you might find it useful.
Extra note : we are living in an Era that video games and movies are either made with the least amount of effort for fast and easy buck, taking wrong approaches and inspirations in the story ( for example, Disney keeps making animated movies about real life problems and pretty much based on the bitter, un-tasteful and awful reality we are all disparately trying to escape from by playing games or watching movies. Some people like it, and some like me, don't ) or the companies think only using good graphics is just enough, the rest of the elements are not important, which is a huge common thing nowadays, but even sometimes they don't care about graphics, pretty much zero respect to the fan base.
If you are wondering why, the answer is simple, it comes back to us customers. There are alot of people who still paid for the stuff these companies threw at them, sure it's your choice, your are free to do it, no one can stop you, it's your money and your choice, as a wise man said "you may enjoy it but you shouldn't defend it".
But yeah long story short, big companies will become soft if they realize that people will buy their products no matter what...
"We made an absolute master piece and people paid for it, but then we made absolute zero effort copy pasted stuff for years and people are still paying for it, so why should we bother spending resources and time to make It any better? It's all about anyway right?"
Even if it's about money, they can still be forced to make a good product, if the respectful people that are blindly buying their products open their minds and realize that MW III despite looking visually stunning ( kudos to the visualizing team ) sound design being great ( why there are not footstep sounds in warzone, please fix and kudos to the sound design team ) and the gameplay being... based on the videos, good ( cause I heard alot of complains about the gameplay )... you are being robbed, the campaign is short, and maps are used from warzone, there is nothing new, when someone does this, it shouldn't be counted as a complete product, therefore it shouldn't be sold with full price, take iphone for example, Apple has the audacity to treat his customers like that because people still buy their stuff no matter what, don't get me wrong their products are good and I used to like apple, but since they started treating their costumers like this and the effort they put in recent products, IT has offended me as a customer, so I switched to another brand that at least treat me as a human.
Comparing iphone with video games is not really a good way, but you get the picture in general right? The product that they make, for games, it requires new map, new story, pretty much new elements to have the right to sell it at full price, cause if it only has new maps, or new story and missions, it counts as a DLC, not a full game, and if the company thinks it's a full product, that means they have gone soft, lazy...
This does sound like it's entirely the companies fault but customers are not any less important, the way we also treat the company is effective too, for video games you can't keep asking a company for a new game. " dude I need another open world, shooter game with new gen graphics "
First of all, video game development is not easy, sure unreal engine 5 exists and nowadays even one person can make a AAA looking game with alot of time and energy he must put in it, but still it's a big task, im saying that as a person who has experience with these sorts of stuff, I know how hard it is. But the company has hundreds, even thousands of employees you say... yeah, they do, and those people are separated to many teams working on the game at the same time, but even with all of that, it's still such a MASSIVE task to make a 50+ hours worth of content, with all the other elements working fine, ( new gameplay, graphics, story and etc ), it's the main reason why good games take so long to make. that is when you can sell a game for 79.99 or 69.99 dollars, it's the quality and the quantity of the content that matters, but still there is a barrier to the price you can out on your game, im not gonna get into those stuff since it's much complex than it sounds, but I recommend you guys to learn how marketing works.
Now where was I... uh yeah, even with all the tech these days it's still a big task, ( but so far thanks to AI, video game development will be much much easier... I believe we are gonna see an Era that instead of seeing a company releasing games each year, we get to see one person do it but it will be a AAA looking game WITH good content. disclaimer : Now don't confuse this with stuff like a mechanic fixing something for you or a doctor curing you and you have to pay him a LOT no matter how much time or energy it took them, that is a different system, it works differently, that money is their appreciation reward for the time and effort to put into becoming that doctor or mechanic ) and I have seen alot of people criticizing a company, demanding them to make something for them, but yall need to understand this, that company NEEDS to have a new idea, if they force them selves to get an idea, it will always go horribly, and you'll end up with a very rushed and badly game, but you demanded it and they cared about your request was it worth it? they can hire people to give them ideas but mostly they'd rather avoid that cause a good percentage of the money they make should into that guy's pocket who gave them the idea, so yeah the company doesn't get to keep all of that to himself, they hate sharing, take the situation between hideo kojima and KONAMI ( *spitting on the ground TWICE* ) for an example, that part about sharing was one of crucial reasons for Konami to kick out kojima, they did say kojima was using too much resources which is stupid, ofc games require resources, alot in fact, but they were either too scared to make a name for them selves, to raise the standards for action/stealth/RPG games, or the reason I said above about sharing. Very irrelevant, got distracted... the relationship between the company and its customers/fans matters, it can't be ignored, as it can fade if people only criticizing and bold only the bad elements and not even mention the good elements, the company would definitely lose respect for his customers/fans. Now please pay attention that even the fact that this company even cared about the criticisms and noticed what people said is very crucial, not many do this, many dont give a damn what people say about their games/products, and do whatever they want, NOW THE FACT that some people can't handle criticisms is a different topic, anyway if the company cares, please don't let the opportunity go to waste, do mention the good stuff as well as the bad stuff, don't just bold their mistake and ignore the rest. Even if their product is a complete disaster and has nothing good about it, don't treat them like a blood enemy. Usually indie games are like this, cause these AAAs are too greedy to care. At the end it is still a hard pill to swallow, and honestly alot of people think it's super easy to debug a game, or optimize it, DONT GET ME WRONG they SHOULD do this, it's not like I'm saying that if the game is unstable you shouldn't be mad and demand them to patch it up, they are a well known company, there is a reason they are considered a AAA, it's part of their job and you do have the right to be mad at them for selling an unfinished product.
Just reminding some people who think if they were doing the development, they would've done it much better.
If you reached this point, thank you, for reading my personal preview, and a LOT OF extra notes for those who think they needed it, I hope this informative, and forgive me if I brushed over some important stuff, my ADHD didn't make it any easier as I kept getting distracted to different un relative topics or maybe my research was not accurate or correct. Feel free to criticize the hell out of me, and don't get mad if I don't respond.
I agree, we gotta show support for quality, not just shiny graphics.
