Some Japanese developers have been openly talking about Nintendo's new hardware coming in 2024, which is presumed to be the Nintendo Switch 2.
Some Japanese developers have spoken openly about the existence of new hardware arriving from Nintendo in 2024, confidentially called Nintendo Switch 2. They did so in an article dedicated to expectations for the new year published by the newspaper 4gamer.net, in which some they are unbuttoned.

For example, Capcom's Masao Kawada, in his answer to question 4 of the aspirations section, said: "2024 will bring some new consoles and new indie titles to follow." In his case, Nintendo was not mentioned directly and some even thought that it could refer to something else, but the subsequent quotes dispelled any doubts. Much more explicit was in fact Kenichi Ogasaware of Koei Tecmo, who in the "attention" section declared: "Nintendo's new platform has been the center of a lot of attention." In this case the reference was truly direct and explicit. Fumihiko Yasuda, also from Koei Tecmo, also arrived to reinforce it, but he used more generic terms: "We can't wait to find out what the new platforms and related titles will bring to the table."

The latest reference comes from Spike Chunsoft's Yusuke Katakata, who said "There are rumors of a new Switch and I can't wait to find out what kind of machine it will be." Here too the quote is direct and unequivocal. Katakata did not explain the existence of Nintendo Switch 2, but such a statement really seems to start from direct knowledge. Should we take these words as confirmation of the existence of Nintendo Switch 2? No, but they are certainly an important signal that something is coming from Nintendo, which will catalyze general attention during 2024, especially given the global success of Nintendo Switch.

Switch 2 in 2024? Experts think the next generation Nintendo console will be out later this year
There hasn’t been an official announcement yet, but it looks like the next Nintendo console will be here soon. Dr. Serkan Toto, a game analyst known for his Nintendo insights, is predicting that the Switch 2 will be released in 2024. Toto also has some forecasts for what the new console will cost: he thinks it’ll drop at $400, with a $70 price tag for games. That said, if you’re hoping for a major hardware upgrade, you might want to get your expectations in check. “Nintendo might add some bells and whistles, but it will be similar to the current Switch,” says Toto. “There is no way on earth Nintendo will drop the portability feature for their next big thing.”
