One Punch Man: World shows that anime adaptations don’t have to be trash

SHOULD I PLAY ONE PUNCH MAN: WORLD?

Play it. One Punch Man: World executes almost all of its features exceptionally well and captures the essence of the One Punch Man manga and anime impeccably. Although it doesn’t introduce anything revolutionary to the gacha RPG genre, One Punch Man: World sets an example as an adaptation done right.

TIME PLAYED

I played One Punch Man: World for four hours. I’ve completed over two dozen quests and made it to the third chapter in the main storyline. I’ve also finished over fifty commissions and leveled one of my characters to level 60.

WHAT’S AWESOME ABOUT ONE PUNCH MAN: WORLD?

• Throwing hands. Nothing beats throwing punches and kicks at enemies in One Punch Man: World. Every character has their own unique abilities and play style to make combat exciting, and I enjoyed experimenting with all the different options. My personal favorite characters were Speed-O’-Sound Sonic and Atomic Samurai for their extremely fast skills that helped me cut and bash enemies within seconds.
• Tutorial and tips. If you’ve played a gacha game before, you probably won’t need any help understanding One Punch Man: World. The game doesn’t reinvent the genre, so a lot of the mechanics and activities are pretty much universal. That said, it does feature an extremely in-depth tutorial and guide system to help newcomers along. Even after playing for four hours, I’m still getting a bunch of interesting tips to help me navigate things.

• Anime to gacha game. One Punch Man: World really is just like the anime and I’m surprised. I don’t expect anime-adapted gacha games to be this good, but the developers have perfectly captured the essence of One Punch Man and brought it to mobile phones. From the cutscenes to the quests and battles, it felt like I was inside the anime itself and that’s freakin’ amazing.
•  It looks fantastic. Not only have the developers captured what makes One Punch Man so good, but the art style looks identical too. The characters, enemies, and environments in this game could have been plucked directly out of the anime for how good they look.

WHAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT IN ONE PUNCH MAN: WORLD?

• Prepare for a grind. Unlike other gacha games, One Punch Man: World doesn’t attract a player’s wallet with flashy characters for a good deal. Instead, it’s similar to Genshin Impact where it focuses on slowing down progression via high level gaps or difficult bosses to make progression painful and time-consuming. To get past this, the shop offers useful resources for in-game currency, which can be acquired by playing or (of course) bought with real money. One Punch Man: World isn’t the most pay-to-win game I’ve ever seen, but it’s definitely a huge grind to a point that some players may feel pushed to spend money instead of time.

It is published by Crunchyroll Games, which is a biggest scam in gaming industry. Never trust Crunchyroll, because every games they published will get the End of Service sooner or later. Princess Connect case is a very good example for that.

If you’re gonna make a gacha game based on an anime, this is what it should be like
SHOULD I PLAY ONE PUNCH MAN WORLD? Hell yeah! When I first played One Punch Man World last year, I was blown away. That hasn’t changed now and I’m still surprised by how good the full version is. This game executes almost all of its features exceptionally well and does an incredible job of capturing the appeal of the One Punch Man anime and manga. One Punch Man World is a perfect example of what a gacha game should be: insanely fun and addictive, visually stunning, and not filled with extremely pay-to-win systems.

One Punch Man World: A Bald Blast of Fun (Mostly) Yo! So I just punched my way through One Punch Man World, and let me tell you, it's a trip. As a huge OPM fan, I was hyped to wreck face as Saitama and the crew, and for the most part, the game delivers. Here's the skinny: The Good:  One Punch Punch * Faithful to the Franchise: The graphics are straight out of the anime, and the voice acting (both English and Japanese) is spot on. Hearing Saitama's monotone pronouncements of doom never gets old.  They even got the humor right, with plenty of winks to the series' hilarious moments.

One Punch Man World - An IMPRESSIVE Anime Game Based on a KICK ASS Series
🎮 Game: One Punch Man World 🍭 Platform: Microsoft Windows | Android | iOS | ✨ Genre: Action | Anime | RPG | 🥊One Punch Man is finally out, and I played it again. I played the beta test a few months back and it was interesting to see if much had changed if at all, and surprisingly there was a big change quite early in the game. Other than that though, the game was pretty much the same. The quality being top tier and the action being awesome as always.
